Interim Artistic Director
Nicholas is the recently appointed Interim Artistic Director of a Company of Fools, and worked as an artistic associate for the Fools since 2017. His credits with the Fools include, assistant directing a Midsummer Night’s Dream (2017), production managing Twelfth Night (2018), director and playwright of Frostbitten: a Shakespearean Winter Mash-Up (2018).
Outside of the Fools, he is the festival director of Ottawa’s Fresh Meat Festival — a pop-up arts festival which showcases 10 new 20 minute performances. His work has been programmed by curated festivals across the province, including: the Undercurrents Festival, TACTICS, the National Arts Centre’s Canada Scene, In the Soil Arts Festival, and the Kick and Push festival. Nicholas has a BA from Brock University and an MFA in theatre from the University of Ottawa.
