a Company of Fools is currently seeking a paid Junior Technician to join the Torchlight Shakespeare team during the run of Romeo and Juliet.
Contract Date: June 24 – August 17th, 2019 (8WKS)
Pay Rate: 15.50/hr 35 hours/WK
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Junior Technician assists with any and all elements of the stage production, including (but not limited to) set, props, costumes, set-up/tear-down and logistics. During the tour, the technician will assist the Production Team and Stage Management Team with stage set up and tear down as well as stage maintenance if required. The technician may also be required to work at Front of House, as directed by the PM.
Successful candidates must be available for the entire run, be physically capable of repeated heavy lifting, maintain a professional, positive attitude at all times and be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (i.e. rain, shine, heat, humidity, cold).

- Sense of humour and appreciation of music
Considered Assets (not required):
- Familiarity with a Company of Fools and/or pursuit of theatre-related studies
- G Class Ontario Driver’s License / access to a vehicle
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Experience with carpentry, or set maintenance
