a Company of Fools is currently seeking a paid Communication and Marketing Assistant to join the Torchlight Shakespeare team for the production of Romeo and Juliet this summer. Candidates must be between 15 – 30 years of age.
Contract Dates: June 10th — August 3rd 2019
Pay Rate: $15.50/hr 35hrs/WK
Reporting to the Artistic Director and Production Manager, the Communications and Marketing Assistant assists with any and all production related duties regarding marketing, website maintenance and updates, and media interactions during both the rehearsal and touring period. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent communication skills; an outgoing and happy individual who can communicate with patrons and press through social media.
The successful candidate must be available beginning in June, maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, and ideally have working knowledge of WordPress.org.
The ideal candidate would be/have:
- Well organized and detailed oriented
- Clear communication skills
- A positive, professional, respectful attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
- Experience in writing newsletters and updating website information
- Ability to manage social media accounts and content creation
Considered assets (not required)
- Familiarity with wordpress.org and/or basic web programming experience
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Experience in Photoshop, inDesign, Canva, Prezi, or equivalent software
