    David WhiteleyDavid Whiteley

    David is thrilled to be returning to the Fools,having previously appeared many moons ago in their pre-Torchlight summer shows “Shakespeare under the Stars”and also The Merchant of Venus.

    In the intervening years,David has kept busy as an actor,director and playwright with many of the area’s professional companies including the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival,SevenThirty Productions,Vision Theatre and Third Wall Theatre,where he directed The Brothers Menaechmus and his own critically acclaimed translation of The Misanthrope. David’s translation/adaptations of Tartuffe and What Goes Around…were both nominated for Rideau Awards,as was A Leave of Absinthe which he directed with fellow Foolish compatriots including cast-mate Richard Gélinas.

    Come September 2010,David will be acting in
    his own translation of the mother of all farces,Georges Feydeau’s
    A Flea in Her Ear,
    for SevenThirty Productions at The Gladstone.
