At the invitation of the Fools, theatre companies from across the region compete in a friendly Contest of Creation in celebration of World Theatre Day. The competitors have only 48 hours to write, rehearse, and produce a brand-new piece of theatre based on objects of inspiration provided to them by their fellow actors.
A panel of esteemed judges adjudicate the performances. Bribes are encourged and cat-calls , laughter, and silliness abound- all for bragging rights as Ottawa’s Best Theatre Company for the coming year and the esteemed privilege of holding the coveted Rubber Chicken award until the following Theatre Challenge event. This is a not to be missed event!
