a Company of Fools is currently seeking a paid Site Crew/Technician for the 16th annual Torchlight Shakespeare tour – this year’s production is Twelfth Night.
Contract dates: June 25th — August 22nd. Monday – Saturday evening performances plus Saturday matinees. Call times and shift lengths will vary depending on performance location.
Pay rate: $15/h to a maximum 37 hours/week
Successful candidates must be available for the entire contract, be physically capable of repeated heavy lifting (up to 50lbs), detail oriented, and be able to maintain a positive, professional attitude in all sorts of summer weather (rain, shine, heat, humidity, cold).
Reporting to the Production Manager, Torchlight Technician duties will include:
Transporting portable stage and equipment from storage to performance/rehearsal sites
Nightly set up and tear down of the Torchlight stage
Supervising Torchlight stage in between matinee and evening performances on Saturdays
Ensuring the safety of the general public and production members
Post show duties such as laundry and minor prop/costume repairs
Post tour duties, such as organizing and storing equipment
Some driving of the Fools truck may be required
Familiarity with a Company of Fools Torchlight Shakespeare Tour
G class driver’s license / access to a vehicle / comfortable driving an 18’ moving truck
CPR and/or First Aid Training
