Having worked as an actor and director across Canada for over twenty years, Catriona is currently Artistic Director of a Company of Fools. She first worked with the Fools in 2001 in Double Bill: Shakespeare’s Dead and Foolius Caesar and dreamed to one day run the company. As such, Catriona is living proof that you should be careful what you wish for or you just might get it!
Catriona holds an MFA in Directing and BFA in Acting (UBC) and is graduate of École Philippe Gaulier (Paris, France). She is a recipient of the JBC Watkins Award for Theatre from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Sydney J. Risk Award for Directing and her work has garnered attention from the Jessie Richardson Awards, Prix Rideau Awards and Capital Critics Circle Awards. Details about non-Foolish endeavours, along with other rumours and truths, can easily be found via online search. While Catriona’s work on productions with and without the Fools has included more than half of the Bard’s cannon, believe it or not, she does more than Shakespeare.
