Our Fall Fundraising at a Company of Fools is already underway. We had a successful evening at Absolute Comedy on November the 20th. We raised over $800 dollars of our $5000 goal!
Now, usually at this time of year we at a Company of Fools are getting ready for our annual Twelfth Night Celebration at the NAC’s Fourth Stage. However this year our traditional venue is under construction. Also, in the past couple of years early January weather has been terrible to us; it seems like people would prefer to stay indoors, recover from the holidays and not venture out until spring.
So instead we are going to do something all Fools are really, really good at; we are shaking things up a bit! We are having our first ever stay at home fundraiser: TWELFTH NIGHT NOT!
How does it work?
It’s easy! First, make sure there is a roaring fire in your heart, then make yourself a delicious cup of cocoa, with extra marshmallows (you deserve it), make sure you have your fuzzy slippers on and curl up on the couch with your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Next, click on the link to our Canada Helps Page: https://www.canadahelps.org/dn/25127 and make a donation of $25 or more (please more!) to a Company of Fools. Enjoy the warm feeling that comes with knowledge that you have supported a theatre that has been bringing vibrant and joyful adaptations of the works of William Shakespeare to Ottawa Audiences for 26 years and to neighbourhood parks for a decade and a half. And enjoy the fact that you didn’t need to leave the comfort of your own home to participate in the fun of a Foolish fundraiser.
Also your donation will automatically enter you in a draw to win tickets to an Ottawa Senators Game!
Each person making a donation of $25 or more between November 20th, 2016 and January 4th, 2017 will be entered into a draw for two (2) tickets to see the Ottawa Senators play the Winnipeg Jets on the February 19th, 2017 at 1700h.
Or by mailing a cheque directly to a Company of Fools: 910 Gladstone Avenue, Ottawa ON, K1R 6Y4
Read the small print below for all the rules and stuff.
The winner will be chosen at random on January 5th, 2017. You will have participated in the excitement of a Foolish fundraiser, all within the comfort of your own home!
But, you say, I love coming out to the Fools Fundraisers! Never fear! A Fools fundraiser will still appear! We Will (pun intended) be hosts an event in April (when the weather is generally nicer) to celebrate the Birthday of the Bard. Details to be announced soon.
The Small Print (RULES):

Donations must be received by 11:59:00 pm on January 4th, 2017 to be eligible. Donations may be submitted through CanadaHelps http://(https://www.canadahelps.org/dn/25127), by mail or in person. Please note: any payment by cheque returned for NSF or rejected by our bank will disqualify you from the draw.
