About As You Like It

It may be a man’s world in the city, but in the Forest of Arden, it’s Girls Gone Wild. Escaping political persecution, Rosalind and Celia flee – disguised – to the Forest of Arden. Dressed as a man named Ganymede, Rosalind discovers the pains of a woman when she falls for Orlando. But when Orlando confesses to Ganymede his love for the woman Rosalind – the Game of Love begins! She’s the girl who becomes the boy to get the boy who wants the girl. Sound confusing? No more so than your average love affair! Love and Romance are equal parts celebrated and skewered in this timeless tale of a woman disguised to win her love.

Meet the Fools i’the Forest!

A cast & crew of new and familiar faces!

Directed by Scott Florence, this season’s cast includes Catriona Leger, Matthew J. Lundvall, Kate McArthur, Geoff McBride, and Katie Ryerson in a plethora of roles and lightening quick costume changes. Costume, Set and Puppet Design by Vanessa Imeson.

Will Rosalind and Orlando find love? Will Duke Senior regain his rightful Dukedom? Will the tyrannical Duke Frederick allow them to live happily ever after in the forest? How many rhetorical questions are enough? Find out in As You Like It running July 3 – August 16, Mondays through Saturdays at 7pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, bug spray and a sense of humour. Pass-the-hat donations are collected at the end of the performance and can be submitted in the form of cash, credit card, or cheque.
