AUDITION NOTICE – A Midwinter’s Dream Tale – Chorus Members
The Fools are seeking emerging artists to fill out the members of our fairy chorus for A Midwinter’s Dream Tale, presented with the Great Canadian Theatre Company. Living somewhere between a Greek chorus and the all-singing and dancing line of the Rockettes, our fairy chorus will torment two clowns as they attempt to navigate the perils of a winter wonderland.
Non-Equity artists within the first 5 years of their carreer sought, there will be a small honorarium offered as well as training from AL Connors in improvisation and Scott Florence in movement and clown.
Auditions dates are as follows:
Wednesday, October 5th 1PM to 5PMCrichton Cultural Community Centre, 255 MacKay Street, Ottawa, ON
Thursday, October 6th 6PM to 10PMRoom 145 A, A Building, Algonquin College, 1385 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa, ON
Friday, October 7th 6PM to 10PMRoom 145 A, A Building, Algonquin College, 1385 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa, ON
Auditions will be approximately 45 – 60 minutes long. You are asked to prepare a short (6 – 10 lines) speech from Shakespeare, and a short song that can be sung a cappella. After you have been seen as an individual, we will bring you in to work with a group of people. Come dressed and prepared to move.
