Much like the Stanley Cup, opportunities to view the coveted RUBBER CHICKEN AWARD are few and far between, however during Doors Open Ottawa at the CRICHTON CULTURAL COMMUNITY CENTRE
the coveted RUBBER CHICKEN AWARD will be on display! Don’t miss this rare chance!
The CCCC is located at
200 Crichton St., 2nd Floor
and is open for DOORS OPEN OTTAWA
Sat. June 4th & Sun. June 5th
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
The Community Centre is located on the top floor of a heritage early 20th century schoolhouse. The west section was built in 1906 and the front wing in 1919, both designed by architect and building superintendent for the Ottawa Board of Education, William B. Garvock. Many heritage features remain, such as tin ceilings, terrazzo floors, original moldings and woodwork. During Doors Open there will be some on-going programming taking place so visitors can get an idea what goes on daily at the Centre. Artifacts, photographs and memorabilia will be on display from the building’s days as a public school.
